From sun-protective clothing and outdoor jackets to casual wear, consumers increasingly prefer lightweight, durable, functional, and eco-friendly fabrics. This growing demand continues to drive the market for nylon—a classic fiber material—and expands its range of application.

The China International Fabric Design Competition, together with Fujian Eversun Jinjiang Co., Ltd. (Eversun) —a leading company in civil nylon technology—once again partnered to launch the 2026 Nylon (Eversun) Product Development Application Award. Over 1,220 products from more than 350 companies showcased nylon's many innovative possibilities and broad market potential in fabric R&D and finished garments.

At the 2026 China International Fabrics Design Competition Award Ceremony held on August 25, fabric products from four outstanding textile companies received awards in four nylon fabric categories: "Outdoor Protection Innovation Award," "Skin-Friendly Health Innovation Award," "Eco-Environmental Innovation Award," and "Comfort Sensation Innovation Award." In addition, this year marked the debut of the "Nylon Design Application Innovation Award," encouraging companies to push creative and technical boundaries and expand nylon application fields. Two companies won this award. These results not only confirm the remarkable progress of textile companies but also help drive upstream raw material and fabric upgrades based on end-market needs.

High-Performance Fibers Enable Diverse Applications

In recent years, under the combined influence of market demand, policies, and technology, nylon applications have achieved a deep integration of functionality and ecological sustainability. This year's award-winning products reflect three major trends: nylon now spans all apparel categories; nylon blends effectively with other fibers for mutual performance enhancement; and innovations in material utilization and structural design are growing more diverse.

With features like cooling, temperature control, breathability, abrasion resistance, and tear resistance, these awardwinning nylon products gain their diverse hard-core functions from both advanced materials and improved processing techniques. Using new raw materials such as high-strength nylon 66 fiber fleece, bio-based nylon, together with optimized weaving processes, the fabrics greatly improve air circulation efficiency. They can achieve two-way constant temperature regulation with good shape retention. At the Eversun exhibition area during the 2026 Yarn Expo Autumn/Winter show, the award products displayed nylon's innovative achievements in technological function, low-carbon environmental protection, and fashion design—upgrading fabrics and garments from the fiber source.

Nylon Technology Drives Industry Development

With deep commitment to nylon material innovation, Eversun has consistently led industry change through technological breakthroughs. Recently, four of Eversun's "Three-Yarn" series products were selected as new textile and footwear products for Fujian Province in 2026. single fiber can generate heat, resist bacteria, repel mosquitoes, and breathe—and it can even turn waste textiles into high-end garments. At the exhibition area, the company again showcased its functional series (Jinkang yarn®), high-end differentiated series (Jinyi yarn®), and low-carbon eco-friendly series (Jinsheng yarn®). These not only provide high-quality raw material solutions for fabric customers but also meet the diverse needs of end brands regarding function, quality, and supply chain stability.

As a "supply chain solution provider," Eversun set up its booth into four lifestyle scenes—home, sports, business, and outdoor—covering needs across all four seasons.

Through this competition, the event and Eversun together have connected four key stages: fiber innovation, fabric development, garment design, and market commercialization. This allows innovative nylon technologies to become truly consumer-perceivable and market-ready textile products. From single-material upgrades to full-industry-chain collaboration, both parties continue to inject fresh energy into the nylon industry, constantly pushing innovation boundaries and upgrading industrial value—ensuring that high-end nylon keeps gaining new vitality in today's consumer trends.
