According to EU retail sales data in May, EU merchandise retail sales in May increased by 16.4% month-on-month and fell 4.2% year-on-year. Among them, textile and apparel and footwear retail sales surged 130.7% month-on-month in May after falling 54.2% and 51.5% month-on-month in March and April, but still fell 47.5% year-on-year.　　

According to data from the Office of National Statistics (ONS), the retail sales of textiles, apparel and footwear in the United Kingdom bottomed out in May, increasing by 17.6% month-on-month and down 61.3% year-on-year.
