Reinventing the fashion supply chain, China and Italy join hands to win the future

On December 17, “China Textile City - China-Italy Fashion Supply Chain Conference” was successfully held in Keqiao. In recent years, the Shaoxing fashion industry has continued to develop, forming a modern textile system of the entire industrial chain and a unique development model of “product + market” and “industry + city”.
Under the new situation, cooperation between China and Italy has a broad foundation and huge potential. Last year, the “Fashion Dream Incubator” settled in Keqiao. It plans to introduce 100 Chinese and European fashion companies, and nearly 40 have already settled in first. The second phase of the project, the European Tailor Fashion City & Euroblue Online Livestream Base, will also be launched soon. It is hoped that the “Fashion Dream Incubator” will take this fair as a new starting point, actively build a platform for economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries, increase investment and attract talents, promote Keqiao fabrics to enter the European market, and make a new contribution to the construction of “fashion Keqiao”. Italy, as the first country to join the “Belt and Road” initiative, hopes that this exchange will promote the cooperation between Italy and China in the textile and fashion industry, lead more Italian companies to develop in China, and help Chinese companies better go global.
This event started from a design perspective, taking Keqiao’s rich fabric resources and China Textile City’s strong industrial resources as the starting point, combining Italy’s rich design and brand resources, giving full play to the advantages of both parties, and striving to create a positive situation of advantage transformation and mutual benefit, deepening the transformation and upgrading of Keqiao fabric industry, optimizing the development mode of the format, practicing intelligent manufacturing innovation, further promoting the integration of a textile city into the international trend, and upgrading Keqiao’s “textile industry” into a “fashion industry”, build “Oriental Venice” into “Oriental Milan”.
