Today, as global sustainable development issues continue to rise, as renewable and degradable textile raw materials, regenerated cellulose fibers are receiving increasing attention from end consumers and brands. On December 13, the Collaboration for Sustainable Development of Viscose (hereinafter referred to as the “CV Alliance”), and the “Renewable Cellulose Fiber Brand Working Group” (hereinafter referred to as “Brand Group”) established by Tesco, H&M, M&S, Esprit, Inditex and other terminal brands, jointly held a docking and exchange meeting, through the direct communication between fiber producers and terminal brands, to find out the answers of green sustainable development of the industry for consumers and the entire textile industry chain.

The CV Alliance has formulated a roadmap for the alliance, clarifying the sustainable development path of the industry; at the same time, it has continued to carry out activities such as green production promotion, increase technical exchanges in the industry and provide technical support. More importantly, the CV Alliance actively discloses industry information, shares sustainable progress of the industry, continuously improves industry transparency, and accepts external supervision through the release of sustainable development reports, organization and stakeholder meetings.

During the meeting on the day, representatives of the Brand Group shared the background and purpose of the Brand Group. After a comprehensive review of the sustainable development issues of the regenerated cellulose fiber industry such as “forest deforestation, elimination of hazardous chemicals, best production technology, transparency, and social impact”, the Brand Group jointly developed a special survey questionnaire for the industry. They hope to comprehensively understand the status quo of the industry’s sustainable development process, and work with the industry to promote the industry’s sustainable development process.

In order to further improve the transparency of the industry and promote the sustainable development of the industry, the CV Alliance and Brand Group have conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the direction and progress of their respective work, and how to further improve the industry’s information transparency, reduce repetitive work, and improve communication efficiency , exchanged opinions on topics such as improving procurement traceability and field visits to various regenerated cellulose fiber enterprises.
