“Textile Vision” 2019 China National Textile and Apparel Council Science and Technology Education Awards Conference held ceremoniously

On December 6, the “Textile Vision” 2019 China National Textile and Apparel Council Science and Technology Education Awards Conference was held in the Great Hall of the People. The leaders and experts from China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), as well as representatives from award-winning units, member units of CNTAC, scientific research institutes, and colleges and universities attended the conference. The conference was chaired by Xia Lingmin, vice president of CNTAC.
 
 



 
 
In 2019, the Textile Science and Technology Award awarded a total of 6 technological invention awards, including 2 first prizes and 4 second prizes; 77 scientific and technological progress awards, including 15 first prizes and 62 second prizes; 4 special contribution awards ( Sangma scholar). The proportion of awards for Science and Technology Award this year has been significantly reduced to only 48%, which is much lower than about 60% in previous years.

The 2019 Education Award includes two parts: the Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, the Teacher Award and the Student Award. This year’s Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award are targeted at textile and apparel undergraduate colleges, with a total of 327 awards, including 26 first prizes, 62 second prizes, and 239 third prizes. Teacher Award and Student Award were launched in 14 undergraduate colleges and 2 higher vocational colleges. A total of 1 teacher special award and 22 teacher awards were awarded; 2 student special awards and 152 student awards.

 
Duan Xiaoping, vice president of CNTAC, delivered a speech by Gao Hongshan, deputy director of the National Science and Technology Awards Office.
 
 


 
At the conference, Li Lingshen, vice president of CNTAC, delivered a speech entitled “Insist on Innovation Drive, Promote High-quality Development of Textile Science and Technology Work in the New Era.” He pointed out that the characteristics of the 2019 textile technology award-winning projects mainly include: first, breakthroughs in high-performance, functional fibers and their application technologies; second, the iterative upgrade of key digital technologies in the industry; and third, green energy conservation and environmental protection have become unremitting technological innovation goals to be pursued; fourth, standards and collaborative innovation have become important manifestations and forms of innovation in scientific and technological innovation.
 

 
 
At the conference, Chen Dapeng, vice president of CNTAC, read out the “Decision on the” Textile Vision”2019 China National Textile and Apparel Council Knitted Underwear Innovation Contribution Award”.
 
The award-winning delegates expressed their award-winning speeches, and eight sponsors of “Textile Vision - Textile Clothing Industry Circulation Special Fund” came to the stage and signed a contract with Textile Vision Science & Technology Education Fund.
