The First Outdoor, Protective and professional Clothing Industry Technology Exchange Meeting Held in Fuzhou

On November 24, The First Outdoor, Protective and Professional Clothing Industry Technology Exchange Meeting with the theme of “Science and Technology for Development and Cooperation for a Win-Win Situation” was successfully concluded at Minjiang University in Fuzhou. The leaders of the Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Provincial Small and Medium Enterprise Service Center, the Fuzhou Development and Reform Commission, Fuzhou Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and more than 200 people from domestic universities, research institutes, industry experts and outdoor, protection, and professional wear companies attended the meeting.
The meeting introduced industry development trends and product development directions through expert speeches, exchanges, dialogues, and discussed related issues such as the technology development system, industry-university-research cooperation, technical talent docking, and industry alliance construction in the outdoor, protection, and professional wear industries, shared the advanced experience of enterprises, explore the ideas for preparing the outdoor, protective and professional wear industry alliance and the new development model of the outdoor, protective and professional wear industry. Participating experts and enterprises further recognized that Fujian’s outdoor and protective clothing are the earliest and largest regions in the country with complete industrial chains, strong production capacity, and high product quality. They are mainly exported to developed countries and regions such as Europe and the United States. They are important global outdoor, protective clothing production base with a global market share of over 20%. Outdoor and protective clothing, as a subdivision of the domestic apparel industry, is highly specialized and uses a variety of functional fiber materials and membrane materials. It is one of the main application areas of high-end textile products and one of the directions to promote the high-quality development of China’s textile and apparel industry. As the 2022 Winter Olympics is about to take place, the country vigorously promotes the development of the sports and ice and snow industries, and the domestic requirements for safe production and professional protection are becoming higher and higher, all bringing new opportunities to the development of outdoor and protective clothing industries. The convening of this conference will have a positive impact on the structural adjustment, transformation and upgrading of the outdoor, protection and professional wear industries.
