Belt and Road Forun for Textile Cooperation convened successfully

Belt and Road Forum for Textile Cooperation, as one of the main sub-forums of the 15th Asian Textile Conference and the 9th China Textile Academic Annual Conference, was successfully held in Shaoxing on September 29th. More than 200 people from over 20 countries along the “Belt and Road”attended the conference and discussed the new opportunities for international textile cooperation and the new trend of global textile economy development under the Belt and Road Initiative.





According to Li Lingshen, Vice President of China National Textile and Apparel Council, under the Belt and Road Initiative, a deep integration of international and domestic markets as well as a more suitable overseas investment environment is being created, providing the domestic textile enterprises with higher quality factor resource supply and market. Li Dong, Deputy Director of Keqiao District, also mentioned that the “Belt and Road” has become a new growth point for Keqiao’s foreign trade. In the future, Keqiao District will strengthen the linkage with the global textile industry, actively participating in international cooperation to sharing development and prosperity.



 



During the forum, the launching ceremony of the “Belt and Road” International Textile Technology Alliance was also held. 20 organizations from 18 countries and regions signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the “Belt and Road” International Textile Technology Alliance with China Textile Engineering Society to jointly build the alliance.
 



During the theme reports, the speakers gave keynote speeches from different angles. Liu Yaozhong, Deputy Director of the International Trade Office of China National Textile and Apparel Council, reviewed the trade and investment cooperation between China’s textile industry and countries along the Belt and Road, and summarized the overall situation, presentation characteristics and current key cooperation areas of China’s textile industry in terms of international cooperation.
 



Lokesh Parashar, President of Federation of Buying Agents, shared the development of the Indian textile and apparel industry in the global economy from a global perspective. He said that cooperation and reciprocity is the way forward for the development of the world. That China and India cooperate and establish a stable partnership will not only accelerate domestic economic development and offer welfare to the surrounding areas, but also help build a multi-polar Asia and end cross-border terrorism. It has played an important role in global governance. Nina Ryazka, Chairman of PTAK Fashion City, said that Poland has always been China’s largest trading partner in Central and Eastern Europe, and that China as the second exporter of Poland is also its most important partner in Asia.
 



Shahin Kazemi, Vice Chairman of Iranian Textile Industry Association, introduced the development history and current situation of the Iranian textile industry, highlighting the rapid development of Iran’s textile and apparel trade after the proposal of “Belt and Road Initiative” and looking into the development of the textile industry in the current international environment. Looking forward. In addition, Han Jun, General Manager of the Overseas Business Department of Shaoxing Bumatou Exhibition Services Co., Ltd., also delivered a wonderful speech entitled “The Characteristics of the Textile Markets along the Belt and Road”, presenting the characteristics of the textile markets in more than a dozen different countries along the Belt and Road in the category of “domestic sales” and “export sales”, and pointing out that they seek complementary advantages in the differences.

 




During the forum, several guests talked about the new opportunities for the development of the textile industry and the ways to overcome the obstacles in cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
 
The convening of this forum will bring more thoughts and enlightenment to the future development of the world textile economy, all-round cooperation of the global textile industry, and multi-field integration, create opportunities for multi-party economic and trade activities and high-quality resource sharing in the industrial chain, and effectively promote the international cooperation and development to achieve a win-win situation in Asian textile cooperation.
