Cotton Council International (CCI) teams up with two Chinese and Western denim design masters, namely Chen Wen and Adriano Goldschmied to launch the 2018/19 Autumn/Winter Denim Fashion Collection during China International Fashion Week at The Beijing Hotel on March 28th, 2018.

This denim fashion show creates a unique kaleidoscope of expression in fabric and denim design by combining today’s fashion trends with U.S. cotton-rich knitted fabric and woven denim fabrics from Heng Liang and Advance Denim - two leading denim fabric manufacturers in China - with the technological innovation of SolucellAir™ and traditional Chinese Miao embroidery. Through “Life Meets Art”, “East Meets West” and “Technology Meets Fashion”, the collection interprets passion and inspiration and showcases new highlights of denim garments integrating Chinese and Western elements.

As a chief designer of the collection, Mr. Chen Wen integrates the beauty of his paintings and traditional Miao embroidery into denim design, and his passionate strokes and colors infuse a new vitality into the garments. “I feel deeply indebted to COTTON USA, who has generously provided this platform for the two designers to work together with COTTON USA’s licensees,” said Mr. Chen Wen, “This platform will not only promote close collaboration between upstream manufacturers with fashion designers, but also showcase denim fashion that combines art, technology and innovation through the creativity of designers.”

“I have great appreciation for everything that COTTON USA has done to make this runway show successful,” said Mr. Adriano Goldschmied. “This is my first time attending China International Fashion Week and I am honored to work with Mr. Chen Wen in this runway show to make traditional denim more fashionable and functional by adopting technological innovation and eastern and western design concepts.”

“We feel privileged to have this opportunity to work with Chen Wen and Adriano Goldschmied, both esteemed fashion design masters in the denim industry and fashion world,” said Ms. Karin Malmstrom, Director, China and Northeast Asia, CCI, speaking at the event. “This denim fashion show represents a grand gathering of fashion creativity and technological innovation promoting quality and sustainable U.S. cotton fiber. At COTTON USA, we’re dedicated to providing the entire supply chain with networking opportunities, ongoing education, and the latest research and technological innovations. We appreciate very much the great support from our licensees Advance Denim, Heng Liang and technology partner Solucell to make this event possible.”

“We feel honored to have this opportunity to work with the two denim design masters,” shared Amy Wang, Board Director and General Manager of Advance Denim. “Being a Cotton Council International COTTON USA’s licensee for over a decade, we are using U.S. cotton in most of our product lines. The collection showcases new highlights of high quality U.S. cotton fabrics integrating the designers’ creativity.”

“They share our corporate values, and we are very proud to be licensed by COTTON USA and begin our partnership this year,” mentioned Mr. Hong Liang, Chairman of Heng Liang Textile. “We are glad to see that many consumers have shown a growing interest in “quality and fashion”, and the two design masters make the best interpretation of these two elements.”

“We have been working very closely with COTTON USA over the years,” introduced Mr. David Liu, President of BYR International at the event. “With a growing healthy and environmental consciousness, we are providing the textile industry solutions to enhance cotton functions without added chemicals, offering genuine natural and smart performance.”

With the creativity of Chinese and Western denim design masters, the 2018/19 Autumn/Winter Denim Fashion Collection will incorporate traditional Chinese culture into international fashion, integrating Eastern and Western cultures for the enjoyment of a grand gathering of guests and international audiences.
