At the 16th Global Textile and Apparel Supply Chain Conference, Sun Ruizhe, the President of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, stated.

 

From October 16th to 18th, the 16th Global Textile and Apparel Supply Chain Conference was held in Shengze, Jiangsu Province. The conference was held with the National High-end Textile Advanced Manufacturing Cluster Innovation and Development Conference and the 12th Jiangsu (Shengze) Textile Expo. The event captured the latest trends and future developments in the global garment and textile industry.

 

The conference focused on the themes of 'green driving force', 'wisdom empowerment', and 'building a modern fashion supply chain'. In addition to the main conference, a series of special activities were held to explore the important values and realistic paths towards modernizing the development of the fashion supply chain.

 

 

Sun Ruizhe stated that digitalisation and sustainability are key drivers of the new wave of industrial transformation, presenting opportunities for the global fashion supply chain. It is crucial to understand the current state of the global industrial system and supply chain, adhere to industrial operation principles, establish a modern industrial system, and seize the initiative to capitalise on these opportunities.

 

 

Shengze, a fashion town and textile hub in China, has continuously promoted the integration of industry, market, and city. This effort has resulted in significant achievements in product development, fashion design, brand cultivation, digital transformation, overseas expansion, and green development.

 

On October 17th, Shengze government, China Textile Information Center, and Swiss TESTEX held the 'Signing Ceremony for Strategic Cooperation in Supply Chain Certification' to promote international exchange and business cooperation between Shengze’s enterprises and global textile and garment customers.

 

 

 

　　Before the conference, the guests visited two local representative enterprises in Shengze: Suzhou ROMROL Fashion Group Co., Ltd. and Wujiang Hengxin Weaving Co., Ltd. The guests engaged in a warm exchange and discussion regarding new technologies and designs in the field of textiles and clothing.

 

To enhance communication and cooperation between upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, the organizer conducted a preliminary investigation on brand purchasing demands. They then accurately matched suppliers and purchasers based on category and use. This achieved a double harvest of efficiency and effect.

 

The 'Matchmaking Meeting between International Guests and Shengze Fabric' also attracted 34 fabric buyers from Pakistan, India, South Korea, Yemen, Bangladesh, and other countries. The attendees included Fazal & Fida Trading Co, Kasi Seal, Avive International, Glory Textile, Al-sharabi fahd, and Shaoxing Reiy.

 

The textile and garment industry boasts a robust manufacturing system and a well-established industrial chain operation mode.
