Recently, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology issued a document agreeing to rely on Hubei Xinxin Nonwovens Co., Ltd. and other key enterprises to establish the Hubei Nonwovens Technology Innovation Center. It is hoped that the center will vigorously promote technological innovation in the field of nonwovens with the core of research and development and application of leading technologies and key generic technologies in the nonwovens industry.

Xiantao City, as the “famous city of China’s nonwovens industry,” the nonwovens industry began in the early 1990s and has maintained a steady development momentum. It is one of 112 key growth industrial clusters in the province. Since the beginning of this year, the nonwovens industry has played an important role in the prevention and control of the pandemic as one of the pillar industries in our city. The municipal government has planned to build a 14.7 square kilometer nonwovens town with high standards, and planned the construction of “four bases and two centers”, so as to promote the upgrading of nonwoven production capacity, structure and brand.
