Prosperity of professional market rebounds in August

The prosperity monitoring results of the China Commercial Circulation Association of Textile and Apparel (CATA) show that in August 2020, the national textile and apparel professional market manager’s prosperity index was 50.05, an increase of 1.07 percentage points from 48.98 in July; the professional market merchants’ prosperity index was 50.07, an increase of 1.04 percentage points from 49.03 in July. In August, the prosperity index rebounded from July.
1. The manager’s and merchant’s prosperity index rebounded
Data shows that in August, various prosperity indexes of national textile and apparel professional market managers and merchants have rebounded.

2. Data analysis
In August, the percentage of total selected market operations increased by 19.35%, an increase of 6.45 percentage points from 12.90% in July; the total management index increased by 1.30 percentage points; the logistics shipment index increased by 2.26 percentage points; the passenger flow index increased by 0.65 percentage points. In August, the textile and apparel professional market continued to rebound on the basis of July, and various important indexes also showed an overall trend of recovery.
3. The overall prediction index rebounded
The data shows that in terms of managers, the next-period manager’s prosperity index is 50.32, an increase of 0.32 percentage points from 50.00 in July; the next-period business environment index is 50.32, an increase of 0.64 percentage points from 49.68 in July. In terms of merchants, the next period of business prosperity index is 50.84, an increase of 1.19 percentage points from 49.65 in July; the next business environment index is 50.84, an increase of 1.19 percentage points from 49.65 in July. In terms of predictive index, the four predictive indexes of managers and merchants all rebounded to above the threshold of 50, which shows that professional market managers and merchants have strong confidence in the traditional peak sales season of the market in September.
