Japan subsidizes mask manufacturers to return to Japan or set up factories in Southeast Asia

Japan has always relied on importing masks and other products from China. Since most mask manufacturers in Japan set up factories in China, when the pandemic broke out, the supply of masks was difficult in Japan, and the risk of concentration of production sites in specific countries has emerged. Therefore, in order to strengthen the supply chain, the Japanese government decided to provide about 70 billion yen to subsidize those who return to Japan or set up factories in other Southeast Asian countries.
