On April 28, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) approved the release of industry standard FZ/T 64125—2026 for disposable underwear. The standard takes effect on November 1, 2026, marking the first national industry standard for this product category. The standard establishes a comprehensive quality framework, covering product classification, sizing, raw material requirements, hygiene indicators, testing methods, sampling rules, acceptance criteria, packaging, transport, and storage. It applies to disposable underwear made primarily from knitted or nonwoven fabrics, with compressed‑pack types also permitted to follow the standard.
