The annual meeting of SAC/TC 606 (National Technical Committee on Standardization of Technical Textiles) and the founding meeting of its first Subcommittee on Nonwovens (SAC/TC606/SC1) took place on April 9–10 in Kunming, China. Attendees included Li Linshen (Vice President of CNTAC), Ma Yongmei (President of the China Textile Academy), and Li Guimei (President of CNITA).

The newly established Subcommittee on Nonwovens consists of 57 members. Li Guimei serves as Chair, with Ma Yongmei, Cui Yanzhao, and Cai Weilong as Vice Chairs, Liu Feifei as Secretary General, and Huang Jingying as Vice Secretary General. The Secretariat is hosted by the Textile Industry Standardization Institute.

Li Linshen outlined five priorities for advancing standardization work: building a standard system that supports high-end industry upgrades; integrating innovation more closely with standards to accelerate the transformation of new productive forces; staying demand‑driven to enhance quality and efficiency across the industry; strengthening China’s role in international standardization; and reinforcing the committees’ internal capacity to ensure professional and efficient operations.
