On May 7, the 2026 China Textile Brand Innovation & Development Training Conference & Brand Matching Event was held in Keqiao, Shaoxing.

Macro trends insight, steering brand collaboration

“Driven by the industrial chain, we upgrade the innovation chain and brand chain, pushing textile brands from scale advantage to brand value advantage,” said Song Qi in his address. He noted that Keqiao will continue to improve services in brand cultivation, trade matching, and IP protection to help companies build new strengths.

Sun Ruizhe pointed out that competition is shifting from point‑based competition to system‑level synergy, and co‑creation has become central to industrial development. He called on companies to nurture experts, brands, and major events from a global perspective to enhance recognition and influence.

Supply chain as a new engine for brand upgrading

Mao Yongjun, former VP of Anta Group, stated that branding is a systematic project. He stressed breaking down walls between merchandising and supply chain to improve efficiency, and building rational product portfolios, compelling storylines, and a well‑matched supply chain ecosystem.

Material empowerment, techdriven fabric innovation

Jin Zhixue, senior R&D engineer from Fujian Yongrong Jinjiang Co., Ltd., said the company has built a differentiated nylon product system and works with garment and fabric suppliers to deliver joint supply‑chain solutions that meet brands’ demand for high‑value innovation.

Duan Furong, head of Materials Research Institute of Baoxiniao Holdings shared two core strategies for material innovation: adding functions like machine‑washability, cooling, and UV protection to traditional fabrics (cotton, linen, silk, wool) using technology, and using advanced techniques to give synthetic fibers a natural fiber feel.

Innovation across diverse segments, sparking brand growth

Li Zhihui, advisor of Niannian Youyu Technology shared that the beauty of new Hanfu lies in cultural heritage and innovation. The company uses blended fibers (cotton, linen, silk, Lyocell, polyester) to create Hanfu that is fine in texture, visually splendid, comfortable to wear, and easy to care for.

Wu Peng, Deputy Director of Innovation Center, Orient International Entrepreneurship, noted that 3D digital garment software has become essential for optimizing supply chains and core competitiveness, offering strong advantages in development efficiency, cost control, and sustainability.

Yao Weiming, engineer of Dymatic Chemicals, said that a good brand story comes from deep knowledge of the product. Identifying differentiated selling points, telling compelling stories, and consistently delivering quality content help turn good products into good brands.

Building a supplydemand bridge

The conference coincided with the opening of the 2026 China Shaoxing Keqiao Textile Fabrics & Accessories Fair (Spring), which gathered over 800 high‑quality companies covering the entire chain – from raw materials, yarns, fabrics, design, printing/dyeing, to finished garments – creating a one‑stop trade platform.

During the event, brand representatives toured the Keqiao Textile Fair, including the Keqiao Fashion Design Exhibition (Spring), to learn about the latest textile technologies and fabric developments. They held face‑to‑face exchanges with Keqiao exhibitors. From eco‑friendly fabrics and functional tech garments to advanced weaving processes and digital tools, the strong R&D strength of Keqiao companies won high praise. The two‑way collaboration between upstream and downstream enterprises put the theme "Full‑Chain Synergy, Value Co‑creation" into practice.
