Henan province is suffering from serious flooding caused by heavy downpour since July 17. Henan is a large textile province, with thousands of cotton spinning, chemical fiber, spinning machine and other related enterprises, and many textile enterprises have been affected to varying degrees. With the gradual reduction of rain, follow-up production and transportation gradually returned to normal.

As an important pure cotton spinning base in China, the flooding in Henan province is mainly concentrated in the central and western regions, and Zhengzhou and Xinxiang are relatively severe. Luoyang, Xuchang and other places were affected to varying degrees. Most textile enterprises in Henan are concentrated in towns and villages, and production is not affected, but logistics is slightly restricted. However, some textile companies in Zhoukou, Zhumadian and other places said they will continue to operate according to the order, and the replenishment has not been affected for the time being.

 

It is reported that there are about 20 million spindles in Henan, and cotton spinning spindles are mainly concentrated in Kaifeng, Shangqiu, Nanyang, Xinxiang, Jiaozuo and Pingdingshan. Among them, Xinye in Nanyang is a famous cotton textile city in China. Its products are mainly pure cotton yarns, mostly in 40S and 60S counts. Henan’s rayon yarn production enterprises are concentrated in the Xinxiang area. Since the rise of Xinjiang yarn, Henan’s rayon yarn has basically not grown. Most rayon yarn enterprises are currently in contract processing, and their products are mainly ring-spun rayon yarn and strands. In terms of cotton spinning raw materials, the local polyester staple fiber has a total production capacity of 250,000 tons, and the production capacity is concentrated in Luoyang. At present, there is no viscose staple fiber production capacity in Henan Province, but there are 90,000 tons of Lyocell production capacity in Xinxiang, and there may be plans to increase Lyocell in Zhoukou.

 

It is understood that the main plant and subsidiaries of Henan Shenma Co., Ltd. have not been greatly affected. Because of the precautionary measures taken in advance, Xinxiang Chemical Fiber is currently producing normally and transportation is not significantly affected.

 

Except for the shutdown of factories in some flood-hit areas in Zhengzhou, most other nonwovens and medical companies are located in Xinxiang and other places, far away from Zhengzhou. The flood season has not yet had a major impact on the orders of PP nonwovens factories.

 

Henan cotton planting, processing quantity is small, but trade, storage is relatively concentrated. In addition to Zhengzhou, the trading market has also made an understanding of the personnel, goods safety and business acceptance in other regional cooperation warehouses in Henan Province, and the overall operation is relatively normal at present.
