Two textile achievements won the 2nd prize of the 2019 National Science & Technology Progress Award

On the morning of January 10, the 2019 National Science and Technology Awards Conference was grandly held in Beijing. President Xi Jinping presented China’s top science award to Huang Xuhua, the chief designer of China’s first-generation nuclear submarines, and Zeng Qingcun, a famous meteorologist.

 
 
A total of 296 projects and 12 science and technology experts were selected in the 2019 National Science and Technology Award. Among them, there are 46 National Natural Science Awards, 65 National Technology Invention Awards, and 185 National Science and Technology Progress Awards. Ten foreign experts won the International Science and Technology Cooperation Award of the People’s Republic of China.
 
At this conference, two textile achievements won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2019. They are “High-performance industrial yarn energy-saving twisting preparation technology and equipment and its industrialization”, “The key technology and industrialization of textile fabric color digitization”. With the new positioning of “science and technology, fashion, and green”, the textile industry in the new era is led by technological innovation, accelerating transformation and upgrading, and entering a new journey of high-quality development.
